- As a hunter, I want to protect my valuable hearing from the muzzle blast noise. I have tried several brands of hearing protectors, and have found these to be the best in terms of overall quality, comfort, effectiveness, and cost.

Pros:

1. The set is lighweight and they are comfortable to wear all day long without making one's ears sore.
2. The sound suppression is reliable and efficient. The blast of a rifle or shotgun is muffled to the extent that it is barely audible.
3. The volume can be turned up to actually hear better than "normal" hearing. The sounds amplified are those typically made by animals rustling in the leaves, grass, or the crackling of sticks and brush.
4. They run on two 3A batteries included with the set. The batteries will easily last 2 or more days even with continuous use.
5. The muffs have a plug-in for exterior radio, MP3 players, etc.
6. The muffs fold up into a compact size that can fit into a large coat pocket if necessary.
7. Compared to other much more expensive "name" brands, these muffs cost much less, are more reliable, and produce quality hearing and loud noise reduction.
8. Best of all, one can actually tell where a sound is coming from when wearing these muffs! Other brands claim this feature, but this brand actually makes it a reality.

Cons:

There really are no cons to this muff set. The only disadvantage (and this is common to all muffs), is that one will bump "clunk" into the stock of a firearm when shouldering aiming. If you know beforehand it is coming, the "clunk" can be minimized.

I would not hunt or shoot without these muffs. I have tried much more expensive brands (Walkers), and some "in the ear" models, but these are the best I have experienced. I consider these muffs the best on the market.

- I very well could be doing something wrong (given the hundreds of otherwise good reviews), or maybe my expectations are too high, but these do not work well for outdoor shooting situations. I wear glasses and my hair is kind of long (but doesn't drape over my ears), but I couldn't get a tight seal on my noggin. As such, fired shots were too loud for comfort. Even pressing the muffs against my head during a shot was too loud. The size adjustment is cumbersome and I'm just plain unimpressed. Returning to Amazon directly. I will stick with $2 foam plugs that provide superior hearing protection, don't require cleaning and still allow conversation at normal auditory levels.

I ordered 2 Seat Pets from the Seat Pets website and after a month I still don't have it. After looking into it I found that they shipped it without my street name, just the house number, city and zip. Customer service was horrible, Fed Ex couldn't help, and the local Post Office finally sent it back to Seat Pets after bouncing it between 3 different cities. I'm ordering them again, this time through Amazon, with high hopes because my kids REALLY want them. I really hope Grab A Deal doesn't disappoint. I had an old shaver using over 15 years worn out. So looked for the same vibration type and found this one at eBay. Price is less than expected and it uses 2 pcs of AA batteries. I have a lot of NiMH type of AA battries in my hand. So I have selected and fully charged up Panasonic's NiMH battries. Then after receiving this shaver started to use the NiMH batteries, it was well over 3 weeks ago, it is still running it without re-charge. This shaver has super power efficiency so it is very well matched with NiMH batteries because output voltage is lower than Alkaline AA's. This is one of few battery operated electric shavers, a good choice for those on the go. This gives quite close shave, but not very good for even slightly over grown hair. Shaving with very low pressure does better job than pressing hard. The tabs holding the foil are rather weak and easy to break, so be cautious when you clean or replace the foil.  I bought this shaver for travel. I normally use a DE safety razor and got sick of looking for decent blades at the other end, and with throwing away leftover blades. The razor certainly wont shave like a DE but it has done a good job for what I want. I lightly rub a shave stick over my face and then lather with my hands (no need to carry a brush) and shave. It is as good as any electric shaver I have tried - at any price. Easy to clean and easy to find batteries. If you forget it, it doesnt break the bank!
