I have a lot of NiMH type of AA battries in my hand. So I have selected and fully charged up Panasonic's NiMH battries. Then after receiving this shaver started to use the NiMH batteries, it was well over 3 weeks ago, it is still running it without re-charge. This shaver has super power efficiency so it is very well matched with NiMH batteries because output voltage is lower than Alkaline AA's. This is one of few battery operated electric shavers, a good choice for those on the go. This gives quite close shave, but not very good for even slightly over grown hair. Shaving with very low pressure does better job than pressing hard. The tabs holding the foil are rather weak and easy to break, so be cautious when you clean or replace the foil. I bought this shaver for travel. I normally use a DE safety razor and got sick of looking for decent blades at the other end, and with throwing away leftover blades. The razor certainly wont shave like a DE but it has done a good job for what I want. I lightly rub a shave stick over my face and then lather with my hands (no need to carry a brush) and shave. It is as good as any electric shaver I have tried - at any price. Easy to clean and easy to find batteries. If you forget it, it doesnt break the bank!
